Meet the Founder

Natasha Mmonatau is a communications specialist who cultivates narratives that amplify solutions for our time. She created Narrative Origin to tap into the magic of storytelling and connect communities that are building lasting movements for social, political and environmental change. 

Natasha began as a freelance journalist covering racial and environmental justice progress in the Bay Area. She currently works as a communications strategist and program consultant for food systems, racial repair and culture change organizations.

Born in Botswana, home to the Kalahari Desert pictured above, she completed her Master of Arts in Earth Systems & Communications at Stanford. As both an artist and strategist, she thrives on translating complex, mission-driven work into creative storytelling assets. Her practice seeks to build a bridge between the world we currently live in, and the one we collectively envision.
